On December 8th, 2021 Arizona Public Service (APS) along with Espiritu Loci and Ariztlan held an Open House for residents of Grant Park Neighborhood at American Legion Post 41 to share the Grant Street Substation preliminary design plans for an interactive event to gather community feedback on proposed mural topics. Historian Frank Barrios and Educator Archivist Irma Payan shared the history of the neighborhood along with the importance of taking the opportunity to honor the heritage of Grant Park through storytelling.
